Program Summary
KBR's Integrated Air and Missile Defense Operating Unit provides Systems Engineering & Integration support to the Army's Air and Missile Defense development projects with full-time personnel support services. KBR sets the standard with a wide range of services including Government Engineering, Logistics, Business, and International focuses, while ensuring customer satisfaction and providing excellence in contract deliverables.
Job Summary
KBR is seeking an experienced self-starter for direct support in an Army Product Management office in PEO Missiles and Space to support an Acquisition Category (ACAT) I program as it enters the Production and Deployment phase of the Major Capability Acquisition (MCA) pathway. The primary role of this position is Risk Management with additional programmatic duties aligned to the Army acquisition life cycle process.
Key Risk Responsibilities and Duties:
+ Evaluate and manage potential risks within the program, focusing on identifying, assessing, and mitigating threats to achieve programmatic stability.
+ Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential threats, both internal and external, and their likelihood and impact.
+ Analyze program data, trends, and other relevant information to identify patterns and predict future risks.
+ Develop and implement strategies to minimize or eliminate identified risks, including diversification, hedging, and other risk management techniques.
+ Prepare reports and presentations on risk analysis findings, communicate effectively with stakeholders and decision-makers.
+ Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to risk management.
+ Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure risk management strategies are understood and implemented effectively.
+ Identify areas for improvement in risk management processes and propose solutions.
Other Programmatic Responsibilities and Duties:
+ Participate in audits and regulatory examinations, providing necessary documentation and support.
+ Conduct research and prepare, review, edit, staff, revise, and update acquisition documentation and plans required for milestones and programmatic actions.
+ Participate in planning initiatives, working groups or integrated product teams as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
+ US Citizen with an active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance.
+ A bachelor's degree in Engineering, finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Understand relevant industry regulations, market trends, and risk management practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Previous experience in a US Army Project or Product Office providing support throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
+ Previous experience with US Army Acquisition policies and procedures.
+ Proficiency in modeling, statistical analysis, and other quantitative techniques.
