Andaz Miami Beach is now recruiting bartenders to join the hotel’s opening team. An art-deco building and architectural landmark is home to the newest luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Mid-beach. Opening in early 2025, the property boasts 287 guestrooms including 34 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. The design features elements of texture, art, and pops of color that create a unique and captivating experience. Each suite is designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, most with deep-soaking tubs, and cozy reading nooks. Guests can also enjoy private outdoor terraces with stunning views of the Atlantic and the Miami skyline. Unmatched amenities include a full-service spa, a well-equipped fitness center, a destination dining experience by José Andrés, two pools, and a Beach Club catering to the who’s who of Miami. Spanning 25,000 square feet of innovative indoor and outdoor event space, Andaz Miami Beach will become a landing spot for guests and locals seeking celebratory gatherings that embrace the city's culture of music, art, and fashion.

Job Summary

Andaz Miami Beach is looking for Bartenders who are excited, qualified, hard-working, individuals with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to superior guest service. Experience with Micros, high volume, and extensive bar training are all beneficial but not required. The Bartender is responsible for crafting classic and creative alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages, engaging with customers, and ensuring that every guest has a memorable experience. Creativity, knowledge of mixology, and excellent customer service skills help establish the operation’s reputation as a go-to destination for exceptional drinks.


Duties & Functions

• Create a diverse range of handcrafted cocktails, mocktails, and other specialty beverages with precision and flair, using high-quality ingredients, techniques, and garnishes. Continually innovate and introduce new and exciting drink creations.

• Provide exceptional customer service by warmly welcoming guests, engaging in friendly and professional conversation, and understanding their preferences. Offer recommendations and suggestions based on their tastes, ensuring a personalized and enjoyable experience.

• Efficiently and accurately take drink orders, prepare them promptly, and serve beverages with attention to detail and presentation. Ensure all orders are prepared in compliance with company standards and specific customer requests.

• Demonstrate an extensive understanding of classic and contemporary mixology, including various spirits, liqueurs, bitters, and other ingredients. Stay updated on emerging trends and new techniques within the industry.

• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all glassware, utensils, and bar tools are sanitized and readily available. Adhere to safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.

• Keep records of sales, tips, and inventory to support effective management and financial transparency.

• Uphold company policies and procedures, including adhering to work schedules, dress code, and attendance guidelines.

• Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures

• To ensure that all perishable items used behind the bar are labeled/dated and responsible for rotating and throwing away to maintain quality control

• Performs opening side work and set up station

• Attends and participates in any training sessions, department meetings

• Proper serving of wine and alcohol (with awareness)

• Properly executes closing procedures 

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20lbs

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in the hospitality industry.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience may be preferred, especially if serving beverages in a fine dining establishment.

• Ability to walk, stand, and carry heavy trays.

• A friendly, attentive attitude.

• Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and food.

• Must be the minimum age to serve alcohol.

• A passion for providing customers with high-quality service.

• Compliance with all local, state, and federal liquor laws.
